The flexible vegetation index (VI) calculator helps you analyze 27 different VIs relating to greenness, light-use efficiency, canopy nitrogen, senescent carbon, canopy water and leaf pigment.

Log Residuals Tool: Easily convert raw radiance data to reflectance-like data with ENVI?s log residuals tool, which reduces the spectral noise in raw images due to topography, atmosphere, instrument issues, and variations in solar illumination. Autoregistration Tool: ENVI 4.2 allows you to automatically find, edit and register tie points in images for increased accuracy in georeferencing and change detection. Enhanced, User-Focused Support Application Help System: An improved application help system provides efficiency and consistency across multiple platforms. Index searching is faster, multiple help topics can be open simultaneously, and it offers the ability to store and revisit frequently used topics.

Support for Additional Modules ENVI DEM Extraction Module: This add-on module to ENVI 4.2 allows you to quickly create DEMs from ASTER, IKONOS, OrbView-3, QuickBird or SPOT 1-5 stereo image pairs. Use a wizard-based tool or manually extract and edit the DEM, measure feature heights or collect 3D features for export to GIS. ENVI NITF Module: This JITC compliant, add-on module to ENVI allows customers who require a certified NITF software environment to take advantage of ENVI?s functionality in image analysis and visualization.
